Premium Hardwood Mulch

Behrens Hardwood Mulch

Behrens Hardwood Mulch is a double processed mix of hardwoods. It is dark brown in color and also does well with weed control. This mulch is a great value.

Western Red Cedar Mulch

Western Red Cedar is a double processed cedar. It is a rich brown with red undertones. This type of wood has essential oils that act as a natural preservative and bug deterrent. Cedar oils make it resistant to rot and decay making it a great choice for outdoor applications.

Cedar Mulch

Cedar Mulch is double processed cedar. It is honey brown in color with red highlights, just like what you would find in a cedar chest or closet. This type of wood is a natural bug deterrent with a pleasant aroma.

Cypress Mulch

Cypress Mulch is double processed cypress that comes to us from Florida. It is light brown in color. This type of wood is a natural bug deterrent and is the longest lasting of all mulches.

Bright Red Mulch

Red Mulch is double processed soft wood mulch that is color enhanced with a non-toxic dye. This mulch is a great eye popping color that really makes your landscape stand out.

Auburn Mulch

Auburn Mulch is double processed hardwood mulch that is color enhanced with a non-toxic dye. This mulch will hold its dark brown color longer on average than a non-color enhanced hardwood.

Gold Mulch

Gold Mulch is a double processed softwood mulch that is color enhanced with a non-toxic dye. This mulch is a yellow gold and brightens up your landscape beds.

Play Mulch

Play Mulch is made from all fresh cut hardwoods and is best suited for playgrounds and under swing-sets. It is light brown in color and has no chemical additives. It is wheelchair accessible and conforms to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines. This mulch has also been tested for shock absorbency.

Arbor Chips

Arbor Chips are ground tree limbs and branches. They are blonde in color and do contain some sticks and twigs. These are a great addition to wild and prairie like settings.

Pulverized Topsoil is the top layer of soil stripped from farm fields. It is then pushed sifted through large screens to give it a powder like consistency. You would use this product in overseeding and sodding applications.

Bulk Dirt

Bulk Dirt is topsoil that has not been sifted through screens. This is ideal for berm building and filling of holes.

Garden Mix (Blended)

Garden Mix is 1/3 Pulverized Topsoil, 1/3 Behrens Compost Soil, 1/3 Manure Compost, and a pinch of sand for drainage. This mixture is best used when planting trees, bushes, flower beds, and gardens.

Manure/Compost

Manure Compost is a spent mushroom compost made from manure. This is a great soil amendment. This is to be mixed with other soils and not planted directly into.

Peat Moss

Peat Moss is a sphagnum peat moss. This is a natural organic soil conditioner that regulates moisture and air around plant roots for ideal growing conditions. It adds body to sandy soil, loosens clay soil, and saves water.

Road Stone #10

Road Stone is beige in color and ranges in size from 2-3 inches up to 4-5 inches in size. This stone is most commonly used in culverts and as perimeter stone for ponds and lakes. This can also be used as a natural looking border in place of a plastic landscape edging.

Grade 9 Gravel

Grade 9 Gravel is a beige compactable crushed aggregate that is mainly used for driveways and as a sub-base. Typically you need a four to six inch base for all patios and brickwork

FA 21 Screenings

FA 21 Screenings is beige in color and is a soil friendly aggregate used as a finishing layer for a sub-base. Typically you need a one inch cover over your existing sub base.

1 ½" Washed #8 Stone

#8 Stone is a 1 ½" washed river stone in a variety of neutral colors. This stone is commonly used for drainage, dog runs, under decks, and around swimming pools. It can also be used as a decorative border.

¾" Washed #6 Stone

#6 Stone is a ¾" washed river stone in a variety of neutral colors. This stone is most often used for drainage, in shrub beds, under decks, around swimming pools, and in dog runs. This stone can be used as a border as well.

Pea Stone

Pea Stone measures ¼" and smaller in size. This stone color ranges from neutral to occasional red, green, and blue pieces. This stone can be used for drainage, under decks, as a border, and to fill in around larger stepping-stones.

Limestone Screenings

Limestone Screenings are white in color and range in size from a small chip to sand like granules. This stone is commonly used as a finishing layer for pavers, retaining walls, and flagstone walkways.

Grade 8 Limestone

Grade 8 Limestone is white compactable gravel that is most often used as a sub-base for paving jobs, retaining walls, driveways, and sheds. This stone is also used to top off or fill in sunken areas in gravel driveways.

CA-711 Limestone

CA-7 Limestone is white in color and contains no fines. This stone is quite often used for plumbing, under sheds, and as a bedding stone. This stone varies in size from ½" to 1 ¼"

Torpedo Sand

Torpedo Sand is beige in color and is most commonly used under paver bricks, retaining walls, flagstone walkways, and on beaches. This sand can also be added to planting beds for better drainage.

Mason Sand

Mason Sand is beige in color and is most commonly used for Stucco, beaches, sandboxes, in between pavers, and under swimming pools. This sand can also be added to planting beds and planters in need of a sand rich soil base such as ferns.

Cobblestone

Cobblestone is Wisconsin granite in a wide variety of colors and hues ranging from beige to pink to blue. This stone ranges in size from that of a softball all the way up to boulder size. This is used to make stone waterfalls, decorative borders, and much more.

Flagstone Steppers

Flagstone Steppers are gray in color 1"-2" thick and range in size from 8"-12". They are most commonly used for patios and walkways.
