Family-Owned Since 1982
Behrens Landscape Material & Supply was founded in 1982 by Mike and Carrie Behrens. In 1986 their little business expanded, and they moved to the current address at 20136 N. Rand Road in Deer Park. The huge pile of mulches out front attracted people who wanted material for pickup and delivery — that’s how Behrens evolved into a premier provider of materials, supplies, and deliveries.
Since then, we’ve supplied mulch, dirt, and aggregates to homeowners, contractors, and local businesses — helping bring all kinds of landscaping and construction projects to life.
In 2019 Mike passed away. Today his two sons, Matt and Mike, along with daughter-in-law Laura, help run the material yard and carry on what he started. Over the years, we’ve stepped away from landscape services to focus fully on the material yard and delivery. That shift has let us better serve our customers with a solid selection of materials, dependable delivery, and the same hardworking, no-nonsense approach Mike built the business on.
