For yards with 6+ hours of direct sun. Kentucky bluegrass gives you the dense, soft, dark-green lawn most homeowners picture; the perennial ryegrass establishes quickly while the bluegrass takes hold over the first season — so you get fast green-up AND long-term thickness.
Wants regular water and fertilizer to stay at peak — this is performance turf, not a low-maintenance pick. Best timed for spring (April–May) or fall (August–September).
